So I had a dream last night…. lemme try and remember…it appeared i and two colleagues were at the airport waiting for a flight..and one of them was in so much of a hurry… he said he hoped there would be no intermediate landing to pick other passengers from any other location. The other explained that it wasn’t an outright company charter flight and that it was important that we make adjustment for others.

So I got to work this morning somewhat in the middle …between excited and gloomy. right after the meeting, a female colleague comes asking about wedding plans…it is another lengthy conversation on family interference in the bid to keep the actual reason for delay discreet.

Next comes my manager’s email stating that I had omitted an item that was to be scheduled in the last mobilization….i look through the emailing list and find that all the who and whos in my company are in copy… I am undoubtedly frantic, I recall noticing the lapse with the logistic personnel…and then a chain of verification ensues….finally the issue is resolved without having to respond to the email.

Next I receive a notification from my country manager, my training has just been cancelled…well he said a new arrangement has been made to make the trainer come to me instead…considering the halving of staff strength my heart race has doubled since i received this news.

I am in trying to get it all in but my head seems to be spinning out of order. I put my head down and say a word of prayer to the Lord and then get on with the day’s task.

One side glance at my phone shows my daily scripture pop up… guess what it is….

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Joshua 1:9

I can’t help the smile bursting on my lips… It is like God himself is speaking straight to me, in my own situation, this minute, this hour, this season…

I trust in the LORD and I know he will keep his promise! I will stand still and see the salvation of the Lord… fingers crossed

For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.
